Interesting move by a vendor that could be a disruptive wildcard but has not well-defined the breadth/depth of its unified communications strategy...

Oracle Buys Assets of Shuttered Mobile Software Maker AppForge

Last week there were reports that AppForge Inc., an Atlanta-based maker of software for mobile handsets, had closed its doors. Today the company's site links to Oracle and we learn that Oracle has acquired AppForge. No financial terms were disclosed. AppForge had raised $24M in VC funding since 2001 from C&B Capital, Council Ventures, Grosvenor Funds, New Atlantic Ventures, and others.
