It’s been a while since we added support for a new IM network. In fact, aside from our first Community IM network Flixster a month or two ago, the last networks we added were Jabber and Google Talk on September 19th, 2005. Yeah,i know more about it.

I assume that Facebook might need to do something on its end to enable federation but if enterprise IM systems federate with consumer IM platforms (e.g., Yahoo!, AOL) then why not consumer social networking platforms that have embedded IM capabilities?Yeah,i wonder.
